1. Google Analytics Services
If you’re not already using Google Analytic services, then you’re missing out on a lot of valuable data. Google Analytics is a free tool that provides insights into how people find and use your website. It can help you track conversions, see which marketing channels are most effective, and more. Setting up Google Analytics is easy and only takes a few minutes. Simply create a Google account and then sign up for Google Analytics here.
2. Create goals
Grand Rapids Advertising Agency mentioned that one of the best ways to use Google Analytics is to set up goals. Goals allow you to track specific actions that people take on your website, such as making a purchase or subscribing to your newsletter. By tracking goals, you can see which areas of your website are most successful in driving conversions. To set up a goal, go to the Admin section of Google Analytics and click on “Goals”. From there, you can add a new goal and select the type of goal you’d like to track.
3. Check out the Audience report
The Audience report is one of the most insightful reports in Google Analytics. It provides insights into who your website visitors are, where they come from, and how they interact with your site. To access the Audience report, go to the left-hand sidebar and click on “Audience”. From there, you can explore different sub-reports, such as Age and Gender, Geography, and Interests.
4. Use Google Analytics filters
Google Analytics filters allow you to segment your data so that you can get a more granular view of how people are interacting with your website. For example, you could create a filter to only see data from people in the United States or from people who have subscribed to your newsletter. To create a filter, go to the Admin section of Google Analytics and click on “Filters”. From there, you can add a new filter and select the type of filter you’d like to create.
5. Check out the Acquisition reports
The Acquisition reports provide insights into how people are finding your website. This is valuable information because it can help you determine which marketing channels are most effective in driving traffic to your site. To access the Acquisition reports, go to the left-hand sidebar and click on “Acquisition”. From there, you can explore different sub-reports, such as All Traffic and Source/Medium.
6. Use Google Analytics annotations
Google Analytics annotations allow you to make notes directly in your Google Analytics account. A leading SEO company reiterated that is helpful if you want to remember something about a particular data point or if you want to keep track of changes that you’ve made to your website. To create an annotation, go to the timeline at the top of any Google Analytics report and click on the date that you want to add a note for. Then, click on the “Add Annotation” button and enter your note.
